Design: The Compaq Presario CQ5110F is targeted at the stationary desktop PC user with its 17 inch tall medium tower chassis. While the rig isn't much to look at with its glossy black face it is quiet and cools efficiently even with its three cooling fans. Using its integrated graphics you can hook it up to any LCD monitor or display of your choice so long as it has a VGA port. Literally powered by a 300W power supply the system offers respectable expansion with a free PCI slot, PCIe x1 slot and PCIe x16 slot. It also offers up space for another optical drive which you can easily convert into a removable hard disk drive with some simple modification.
Specifications: Priced at pretty much the same as most nettops, the Compaq Presario CQ5110F offers up a 2.5GHz dual core Athlon X2 7550 processor along with 3GB of memory. As mentioned earlier it is powered by a 300W power supply so you can probably hook up a pretty good graphics card that doesn't require too much power like NVIDIA's 9500GT or ATI's HD4670 series or below. Apart from the usual audio jacks, network port and modem port, the PC offers up to six USB ports so you can hook up an external hard disk drive if you want to.

Features & Performance: While the Compaq Presario CQ5110F is priced more or less the same as most nettops it can outrun all of them. Thanks to its much larger memory and better processor you can expect to open up more than 5 windows at a time without any significant slowdown as well as do more intensive tasks like encoding media and ripping CDs. Overall the Compaq Presario CQ5110F can handle all office applications, surf the Internet, write emails and eventually expand to a better graphic card and soundcard or store more data, making it a much better value buy compared to most nettops.
